High-Density Polyethylene + 15% Glass Fiber (HDPE+GF15) plastic welding rod is used when welding glass reinforced high-density polyethylene plastic.

Glass fibers can be added to high-density polyethylene plastic to enhance its strength. The identification symbol on the part indicates the amount of glass fiber added (e.g., HDPE+GF15 contains 15% glass fiber, while HDPE+GF20 contains 20%). One use of fiberglass-reinforced HDPE is in the production of delivery totes.
